Sustainability

Sustainability is a regular topic in Zimbabwe and the U.S. and covers a broad range of concerns.  Each day we focus on creating autonomy, encouraging empowerment, and considering the impact of all decisions for long term. We have been focused since 2000 on multiple aspects.

  • ‘Give the fishing pole and not the fish’ has guided us through the various challenges we have faced during the hyper-inflation, weather hardships and loss of life.
  • We are always looking for ways to collaborate with others.
  • The villagers partner with us when we rebuild their hut, build their well, sponsor their children in school, as well as repairing the community roads.
  • Microloans are provided for crafts and personal purposes with a goal to help individuals find ways to contribute to the community in even more ways both now and in the future.
